When are Whitefalls Lodges available to rent?

Whitefalls Lodges are available for Weekly rental periods on a Sat-Sat basis all year round. Rentals on a Mon-Mon basis may also be available at certain peak times of year. Rental periods are from after 5pm on arrival day.

What time is entry to the lodge?

Please aim to arrive after 5pm on the day of arrival. This gives us sufficient time to clean and prepare the property after the departure of the previous guests. We try to ensure that Whitefalls Lodges are maintained to the highest standards for your own enjoyment. Please do not arrive earlier as we will be unable to check you in until after 5pm as we are servicing a number of properties at this time therefore our standard check-in times are between 5-6pm. If the lodge is ready sooner than 5pm we will send you a text message if we have a contact mobile telephone number. If you require a late check-in please let us know on your booking form and arrange with us in advance in order for us to make arrangements for you to gain access to the lodge.

When must we vacate the lodge by?

Please vacate the lodge prior to 9am the morning of your departure.

Self Catering

Please bear in mind our rural location prior to arrival and that the property is offered, designated and graded as Self Catering/Self Serve Accommodation by VisitScotland. Fresh produce/food items are therefore not included in your stay and please note that we are unable to provide any items of food produce unless an extra package (where offered) has been pre-booked with us at the time of booking/in good advance of the stay and which must be purchased at the time of booking. Guests are strongly advised to stock up on supplies on arrival in Stornoway or, if travelling via Skye, at the Co-op supermarket in Broadford which you will pass en route to the ferry at Uig. The rental is for the accommodation only for an independent Self-Serve break – we are not onsite.

Check-in Details/Driving Directions

Please read the check-in details and driving directions provided carefully. We strongly advise printing this information as connectivity can be intermittent when travelling through remote areas of the Highlands and Islands.

Packages

Any extra packages if offered for your dates at the time of booking, as per the booking system, must be pre-booked with us at the time of booking and paid with your remaining balance payment as full payment is required at this time. Please note that unfortunately we are unable to accept any orders after this time/retrospectively after booking. **NB. Local Traditions

Please bear in mind that for many people Sunday is considered a day of rest (and our only family day!) however things are much more relaxed than in the past with ferries and planes now operating on Sundays and restaurants open. There is a shop and filling station open in Stornoway, however, please bear in mind that supermarkets will not be open on Sundays. The main supermarkets in Stornoway are Tesco and Co-op which are both open very late on a Sat evening. Tarbert has a limited number of food outlets.

The pictures and reviews don't do this justice, it is amazing. We came here on our honeymoon and could be happier the place has everything thing from amazing views to sky films Netflix, Alexa, fantastic spa facilities and some sheep in the garden. The host Donald was lovely, gave us such a warm welcome and cooked us lobster caught from the loch visible from the window outside his guest house 2mins down the road. We have some long lasting memories! Thank you.
